YA&CM Office Summer Intern ============================================================== Applications (cover letter, resume, references) due to Michael Tino (mail to 25 Beacon St, Boston MA 02108, fax to 530-686-3913 or email to mtino@uua.org) by May 31 Term: 2-3 months (flexible) beginning June 15 (also flexible) Salary: 1,500/month (taxes to be withheld as appropriate) Expectations: 35 hrs/week (standard work week) in Boston office, with the possibility of some funded conference travel (to GA, Opus and/or ConCentric) We are seeking a summer intern with energy and creativity to do the following projects. Preference will be given to people with demonstrated skills relevant to these projects. 1. Archiving and History of C*UUYAN and the YA&CM Office We need someone to organize and archive piles of historical information, pictures and files that tell the story of the history of young adult organizing in the UUA. Possible creative projects that could be a part of this include: -multimedia historical projects -on-line archiving on new web site -interviews with former YA and campus ministry leaders -photo/written documentation of summer conferences, with the possibiltiy of creating a brief manual on how this can be done in the future -organizing things for the C*UUYAN archive at Meadville/Lombard Theological School in Chicago -collecting more stories, pictures, artifacts and documents related to the history of UU young adult and campus organizing -writing articles for Ferment, UUWorld, etc. -collecting video segments for future video production This project can continue on into the fall, and there is the possibility of support for a college-credit project for students. 2. Possible multimedia presentation on C*UUYAN events. 3. Data Entry: Complete updates of data in ConnectUU based upon returned mailings as time permits. Qualified applicants would need to work collaboratively with a geographically-dispersed team.
